Wednesday, September 27, 2023 - Strength in being Child-like

But it is not this way with you, but the one who is the greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader like the servant.

Luke 22:26

I remember the day as if it was yesterday. My son, Daryl, was in the car with me. As was custom, I was sharing some things with him about the Word of God. He sat, listened, and pondered the things I said. He never questioned if I was right or wrong. He trusted me because I was his mother.

Oh, to be like a child before our great Father. To understand that he can totally trust Him. Even though my son trusted me totally, there would be things I would do to hurt him as he grew up in my home. It is not that way with God. We come as dependent children, and he never falls short. Our greatness is shrouded in the cloak of servanthood and dependence. I believe that there is very little else that gives God delight than having his children absolutely trust him.

PRAYER: Lord, I let my agenda go and depend totally on you. My prayer are your prayers. My will is your will. My heart is your heart. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
