Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.

Luke 8:1-3

This love relationship with God begins with His call. In this passage of scripture, Jesus went through every city and village preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom. Romans 10:14 states “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?”

Every time Jesus opened His mouth to preach or teach about the kingdom of God, God was calling. These women who are listed in the scripture were among those who heard the call and responded.

PRAYER: Lord, there are some people in my life that need to hear your call. Please open up their ears so that they can hear what the Spirit is saying to them. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
