But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
James 4:6
The book of James is full of practical instructions for Christian living. James, the half-brother of our Lord, talks about sins that manifests itself in everyday life. Pride is one of them. James 4:6 states, … “‘God opposes the proud.’”
Who wants to be in opposition with God? I don’t think any of us want to do that. We want to follow Christ in every situation. We want the favor of God over our lives; thus, we should always walk to humility.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, search me Lord and show me the ways that I may be walking in proud. Teach me to rely on you and give me an awareness that everything good comes from you, and you alone. In Jesus Name, receive my worship, Amen.
