For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 1 Corinthians 12:13-14

The church is unified. This word says that in one Spirit, we were all baptized into one body. We were all made to drink of one Spirit. We are many members, but we are one body. One Lord, one faith. One baptism.

Let’s be real. Unity can sometimes be difficult. When you bring people together from various backgrounds with differences in how scripture is interpreted, there can be disunity. Don’t’ you know Christ knew that we are all different and that we would not agree on every single point? He knew that. Because we have been baptized in the same Spirit, we partake of the same fruit and can learn to walk in harmony despite our differences because we are all in Christ.

PRAYER: Lord, I must remember that we are all different. My beliefs and the beliefs of others are not always the same. Let me never let these small details prevent me from connecting with my brothers and sisters in Christ. In the name of Jesus, I pray and give you praise. Amen
