He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes. (Deuteronomy 10:21)
This year during our 21 Days of Prayer, we focused on miracles. One of the reasons we did this is that we know that most of our prayers are filled with our request for God to do the supernatural.
The Oxford dictionary says that a miracle is “a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency.” Baker’s Dictionary of the Bible says that a miracle is “an event in the external world brought about by the immediate agency or the simple volition of God.”
Because we are in times that can be difficult, at best, it would stand to reason that we would have to rely more on miracles (occurrences that defy the natural order or expected outcome) to survive.
We want those who read these devotionals to become so acquainted with miracles that they expect them to occur. God has done mighty things from the creation of our universe and continues to do great things. Let’s expect miracles from our mighty God because what he shows us with our own eyes are wondrous.
MEDITATION: Lord, You have done mighty things before me, for me, and for others. There is nothing outside of Your realm or ability. As I walk through this year and trouble comes, I will seek Your help. You can do all things. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
