For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.” Romans 14:11

In Paul’s letter to the church at Rome, he shares the good news of the gospel. According to the Christian Standard Bible, he “discusses the essence of sin, the salvation accomplished at the cross, the union of the believer with Christ, how the Spirit works in the Christian to promote holiness, the place of the Jewish people in God’s plan, future things, and Christian living and ethic.”

The apostle begins Chapter 14 by encouraging believers to accept those who are weak in the faith. He talks about judging others and reminds us that we all will stand before the judgment seat of God. For IT IS WRITTEN. The King James Version says, “As I live says the Lord, every knee will bow to me, and every tongue will give praise to God. The Message Bible says, “As I live and breathe,” God says, “every knee will bow before me; Every tongue will tell the honest truth that I and only I am God.”

PRAYER: Father, thank you for reminding me of the power of your written Word. I know that you are God and that ultimately, I must give an account of my life. Help me to live with that knowledge in the forefront of my mind. I also pray for those who do not know you. May they come to the knowledge of your saving grace. IT IS WRITTEN! In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen
