Who is like you among the gods, O Lord— glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor,    performing great wonders?Exodus 15:11

“Holy, holy, holy!” The lines of this popular hymn were penned by Reginal Heber who was born in England in the late 1700s. His family was well off and he received an elite education, but he didn’t take his blessings for granted. He became a minister, leading a tiny church. He went on to serve in India, leading missions efforts there. After delivering a sermon one Sunday in India’s intense heat, he died of heatstroke. Following his death, his wife discovered that he had written 57 hymns, and she had the collection published. “Holy, Holy, Holy” stood out.
