Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.

Philippians 1:27

We live in a world that has forgotten integrity. We think that the grace of God gives us a license to listen to what we want to listen to; say what we want to say; and do what we want to do. We forget the responsibility to follow Christ in all that we do. It is not about intentions, only. It is about our behavior or conduct.

We must remember that the people who live around us get to experience God when they see us in relationship with him. Every time you smile in difficult situations, speak the truth in love, turn the other cheek, God shines. This passage reminds us that despite what goes on around us, we are to conduct ourselves in a manner that is worthy of the gospel.

Worthy of the gospel! That means we follow Christ in our thoughts, our will, and our behavior. God expects nothing less.

PRAYER: Lord, give me a life that spreads your message of love and goodness to others in what I say and do. Let me remember that others are watching me. Let your light shine brightly in me. In Your Name, Amen.
