DON’T ASSIGN FEAR TO IT

Walking in the Realization of His Love

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (1 Timothy 1:7)

Whenever I am in a difficult situation, I often default to my relationship with God. I am His beloved.

Sometimes, it is difficult to understand that God loves us, and we question that love even more when we are confronted with difficulty. When our equilibrium or balance is disrupted, the first entity we usually examine is ourselves. Lord, what did I do wrong? Lord, why are you displeased with me? Lord, I’m so sorry I messed up.

The fact of the matter is that there is nothing we can do to make God love us more and nothing we can do to make him love us less. In every breath and step, we should know that we are God’s beloved.

This means that He prefers you. There is no reason to fear. We serve a God who takes everything that ever touches us and turns it into our good. When we are walking in this love, we realize that there is no reason to fear, because the God of the universe loves us. Everything that happens to us has been filtered by His love. What a revelation!

Prayer: Lord, please reveal this great love you have towards us in ways that we understand. Holy Spirit, let us see this love that God has lavished on us, not only by faith, but also in practical ways – things that touch our lives every day. Lord, let this love consume our fears so that we are no longer mindful or anxious about anything, because we trust your love. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
