Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

1 Timothy 6:12

This walk with Christ is not easy. As our world becomes more secularized, it is more difficult to walk with Christ. I love that Paul says that we are to take hold of the eternal life to which we were called. That means looking at our lives through a different prism. Nothing is wrong with experiencing some of the good things that this life has to offer. God has promised abundant living and hopefully, we are enjoying some good moments, BUT everything must be seen through the eyes of eternity.

PRAYER: Lord, you have placed eternity in my heart. Let me keep it at the forefront of my walk with you. I know it is ok to enjoy some things that life has to offer, but let it never come before this eternal life with you.
