Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

Hebrews 12:1-2

All week, these two verses of scripture have been our focal point. They remind us that we are surrounded by witnesses. We must keep this in mind as we do life. We have an audience of heaven. We have people who are wanting us to come through for the kingdom of God. There are many who went before us who were able to forsake the flesh and their pride, walking in faith with the Lord.

PRAYER: Today, I pray for you. Lord, I pray for those who read this message. I pray they will be moved by You, the Messenger. Let them prioritize their lives in a way that brings glory and honor to you. Lord, I pray that they will remember that they have heavenly witnesses rooting for them. I also pray that they would just run their race, not looking in the next lane at what their brother or sister is doing. Finally, let them keep their eyes on You, Jesus—the one who purchased us by His blood and continues to sustain us. In the Name of Jesus. Amen!
