Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.
Luke 8:1-3
Now, think of this, these “certain women” had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities. There are only a certain few who will respond to the call and be converted. Even though everyone will not respond to the call, we must remember that God excludes no one based on their demographics. For instance, during the time when Jesus walked on earth, rabbis refused to teach women and usually assigned them to an inferior place. Jesus did not exclude, but He admitted them into His fellowship.
PRAYER: Lord, thank you for this reminder that no demographic is excluded in your kingdom. Let me remember this in my witness of you to others. It does not matter the race, color, creed, nationality, ethnicity, gender, or any other thing. Lord, let me see the world through your eyes. Let your love fill my heart so that my heart is able to accept and love all of God’s children without prejudice. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
